The Surety Bond Account Manager performs the essential functions related to the servicing and retention of contract and commercial surety clients.
An in-depth knowledge of bond terminology, surety markets, and underwriting practices for the purpose of giving sound advice to a wide range of clientele. This is a high-pressure, fast-paced position with significant time deadlines and regular interruptions, requiring a high level of organizational skills.
Manage day-to-day needs for clients, including bond requests, billing issues, bond close-outs.
Responsible for requesting periodic informational updates, analyzing them and then communicating data to underwriters.
Responds to clients’ needs and questions relating to account bond program, project limits and specific project opportunities.
Communicates with underwriters on status of account or individual bond approvals
Issues original bonds as needed.
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients/peers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
